Your writing is beautiful, Jennifer–particularly the piece about your mother’s voice. I hope and pray I have the same influence on my son. That is the kind of mother I want to be: loving, and soft–a reminder of all the good things in life. A hope-spreader, not a hope-crusher. Thank you for putting into words what I could not verbalize.
